Agnes Patricia (Aggie) Toomath: 7 May 1891 - 1 Dec 1965

Agnes Patricia Toomath was born on 7 May 1891 in Belfast, Ireland. She is the eldest of Richard's 15 daughters. On the 1911 Irish Census Richard gives her name as Aggie. Her occupation was given as book keeper. In later years her nieces and nephews usually referred to her by her middle name - Aunt Pat.

Agnes never married. The general consensus among family members is that she made her living running bed and breakfast lodges.

Agnes served in the Women's Army Auxiliary Corps during WWI and as a trainer in the same outfit during WWII.

Agnes died on 1 December 1965. The US Social Security Death Index gives her date of death as Dec 1965. The place of death is listed as New Jersey, USA. She is buried in the historic First Baptist Cemetery in Cape May County, New York next to her business partner and friend Mary (Minnie) Parkhill.

Agnes was probably named after Agnes Boyce. Agnes Boyce was a witness at Richard Toomath's 1888 wedding to Anna Sinclair. Agnes Boyce is buried in the Toomath family plot in Dundonald Cemetery in Belfast next to Anna, Kathleen and Unity.
